The weekend is already over(cue the depressing music). It went by too fast, especially since we were with such great friends having the best time. I wish it could have lasted just a bit longer. We drove down(well up) to Greensboro, NC. We wanted to leave around 1, but, Toby's superiors thought they would change our plans. But, it gave me a chance to catch up on laundry and pick the house up, so that we didn't have to come home to a dirty house.
The ride to Greensboro was pretty interesting to say the least. I don't know how it happened, but Colby, Makenna, and I all managed to either get sick or feel sick on the way to Sarah and Randy's. I left the house having a slight headache, but I thought after we took off and picked something up at Arby's I would feel better. So we picked up a few roastbeef sandwiches. Well, we didn't even make it to Clayton before we had to pull over and hold Colby's hair back, so to speak(chuckle). By that time Makenna was complaining of her stomach feeling up set. So, being the think ahead kind of person that I am I bought some Anti-naseau medicine and we all took one. Yeah!!! Problem solved, hahaha! About 5 miles down the road Makenna says she needs to throw up. Toby was trying to get off the main highway so that we wouldn't get hit and just when we were about to come to a stop I heard the sound that all parents HATE to hear while you are still in the car on a long drive. Yes, she pucked in the car. So, I'm still trying to get her out of her seat when she does it again, so I just had to turn her head so that at least most of it would get aimed more towards somewhere other than the interior of the car we about to put up for sale. Okay, now normally I have a tough stomach and I dont' get queasy easily, but, since I was already not feeling so good I almost lost my Arby's as well when Toby so kindly rescued me from Brown Barf Central. He took care of that and we were on our way, well not so fast! After having to look back at the kids so much(and anyone who suffers from motion sickness knows you don't read or turn around in a moving vehicle)I was really starting to turn green. So, I had to recline my seat and sleep. So after all that Toby had to fight his way threw rush hour traffic in Raleigh. But we soon got to the beautiful city of Greensboro, North Carolina and luckily after we pulled up to Sarah and Randy's we all felt much better. I'm not sure if it was that we were out of the car or the sight of the friends we had missed so much that made us all feel better. I like to think it was the later.
